Hungary-China relations: a limitless partnership?

Chinese President Xi’s visit to Hungary this week was the first by China’s head of state in 20 years and led to the establishment of an “all-weather partnership” between the two countries. There are clear advantages to this geopolitical alignment for Hungary for the time being. But it brings risks too and could leave the country vulnerable to the competing interests of both US and China-led blocs in the future.
