Our Emerging Europe Chart Pack has been updated with the latest data and our analysis of recent developments.

Recent downside inflation surprises across Central and Eastern Europe suggest there may be a bit more monetary easing than we previously thought in the near-term. But we maintain our view that the region will experience stronger GDP growth this year as external demand strengthens and fiscal policy is kept loose (or loosened), and tight labour markets will keep services inflation elevated. Our monetary policy forecasts still lie on the hawkish side of expectations.
