The RBA will leave its cash rate unchanged at 3.6% on 4th November. And with inflation proving stubborn, the Bank is likely to remain on hold until the second half of next year. That said, a prolonged period of restrictive policy should eventually ease capacity pressures. Accordingly, we still expect the Bank to cut rates to 3.1% this cycle, which is lower than markets are anticipating.
