The economies of Central and Eastern Europe are generally less exposed to higher US tariffs than other EM regions, but we have still become more concerned about the hit to growth this year from US trade protectionism. Alongside signs that wage pressures across the region are easing, the risks to some of our hawkish interest rate forecasts have shifted to the downside over the past month.
