Weak lira boost missing, Poland-EU conflict hopes?

The latest indicators raise concern that the boost to Turkey's external competitiveness from a weak lira may not be having the desired effect. Meanwhile, positive developments in Poland this week signalled a desire to de-escalate tensions with the EU over the rule of law, but the moves alone aren't enough to effect meaningful change and the EU will need to see much more before there is an end to the dispute.
