Strong growth outlook conceals policy risks (Q3 2006)

The growth outlook for Emerging Europe generally remains strong, with demand driven by high levels of investment and the continued rapid expansion of household credit. With GDP growth in the euro-zone and Russia slowing slightly (to 2% and 6% respectively next year), export demand will become a less important driver of growth.
