Thanks to continued optimism over prospective trade deals to reduce US tariff rates, asset markets have generally recouped most of their losses after the 2nd April tariff announcement. That said, we think that the boost from further trade negotiation will be limited given the extent of the recent rebound and the broader uncertainty around the economic outlook.
