Supply shortages and EM inflation risks

Supply-related price pressures are building, particularly in Central Europe and parts of East Asia. And while the factors behind this should prove temporary, output gaps in the most-affected countries are also set to close more quickly than in other EMs. While inflation is rarely a concern in Taiwan or Korea, there is a bigger risk of sustained higher inflation in Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary in the next few years.
