The unprecedented levels of trade uncertainty brought about by US tariffs appear to have had only a limited impact on investment so far. Uncertainty has persisted and our model indicates that there may yet be some damage to investment. But we suspect that this will be small and outweighed by other factors including monetary policy loosening and the direct effects of the tariffs themselves.
