Slowing US economy may help Treasuries rally

Weaker economic data from the US have bolstered our view that the Federal Reserve will be able to cut rates by more than investors currently expect. As a result, we continue to think that Treasury yields will generally fall by the end of the year. Meanwhile, we suspect that equities will keep powering ahead – regardless of the outlook for monetary policy.
