Frontier financial markets sell off, but losses limited

Frontier financial markets came under pressure in the wake of Donald Trump’s US election victory, with currencies weakening against the dollar and bond yields rising. The losses have been relatively modest and in some cases have already started to reverse. But if the US Fed hikes interest rates more aggressively than the market expects, as we think is likely, frontier financial markets could come under renewed pressure over the coming quarters.
