Precious metals supply to tighten as currency boost fades

Falls in currencies of major producers have played a key role in cushioning mining companies’ margins in recent years. However, with the prices of most precious metals trading below production costs even in local currencies, we expect that miners will be forced to cut output soon. This should lead to tighter markets over the next few years, helping to underpin our long-term positive view on prices.
