Oil buffers are depleting amid extended ceasefires

Despite recent extensions of ceasefires in the Middle East, traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains at a near standstill and Brent crude oil prices are back above $100pb. The impact from the crunch in global oil supply is on track to worsen as oil inventories are drawn down, raising the risk that prices remain higher for longer.
