Where does Saudi Arabia sit in a fracturing world?

The past few years have seen Saudi Arabia continue to move away from the US orbit and, as part of our work on global fracturing, we no longer consider Saudi to be unaligned between the US and China.  Instead, we now think that it leans more towards China’s side. That said, we doubt that Saudi Arabia will become a fully-committed member of China’s bloc like Russia or Iran. Indeed, there remains the possibility that it will shift back to a more unaligned position or even back into the US camp in future.
