Brazil: Easing cycle probably now at an end

The statement accompanying the Brazilian central bank’s meeting last night did leave the door open for one more interest rate cut, but on balance we think the easing cycle is at an end. By the same token, the interest rate hikes that are now being priced into financial markets in the second half of next year are unlikely to materialise.
