French & Spanish GDP (Q4 2021)

Both the French and Spanish economies ended 2021 on a strong note, but for different reasons. In France, domestic demand pushed output above its pre-virus level, a boon for President Macron ahead of April’s election. By contrast, a rebound in tourism was the primary driver of growth in Spain.
