Polish surveys suggest rise in core inflation is on its way

Two widely-watched survey-based measures of price expectations in Poland hit seven-year highs in January, suggesting that core inflation is set to pick up markedly over the course of 2018. This supports our view that the central bank will begin to tighten policy later this year.
