Key commodity calls for 2017

Commodity prices face a number of headwinds moving into next year, including rising US interest rates, further US dollar strength and less stimulus spending by the Chinese authorities. However, we expect strong growth in demand to bolster oil prices, while supply constraints should act as a floor under the prices of many metals. In contrast, the price of gold could fall further, at least in the near term.
