High inflation will prevent Polish MPC from cutting

The National Bank of Poland (NBP) left interest rates on hold at 1.50% today and with external headwinds mounting and the economy likely to slow sharply over the coming quarters, calls for interest rate cuts are likely to grow. But we think that above-target inflation will prevent the central bank from easing policy.
