Turkey Consumer Prices (Oct.)

The drop in Turkish inflation last month probably marks the trough and inflation is likely to rise over the coming months. Pressure from President Erdogan and recent sanguine inflation forecasts from the central bank mean that interest rates are likely to be cut a little further in the very near-term. But we think that policymakers will be forced to reverse course and start to tighten policy around the middle of next year.
