New Zealand - Better data not enough to prevent cut to 2.5%

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand will probably cut interest rates by 0.25%, from 2.75% to 2.50%, at the policy meeting on Thursday 10th December. What’s more, and despite the release of some positive economic news since the Board last met, we believe that the weak outlook for activity and inflation will result in rates being cut to 2.00% next year.
