Housing market activity to recover next year

The housing market is starting to recover from the initial shock of the Brexit vote. But with prices already high, we don’t expect a return to business as usual. Rather, we think house price growth will slow further into 2017 and remain subdued thereafter. In turn, this should provide room for a recovery in activity next year as the economy and labour market improve.
