US-China tariffs raise stakes for EU

This week’s decision by the US government to hike tariffs on Chinese EVs to 100% may have been largely political and symbolic but it raises the stakes for Europe, which will complete its own investigation into Chinese EVs in the coming months. Next week we expect to learn that negotiated wage inflation in the euro-zone came down a little in Q1.
