It is still early days in the roll-out of AI but the data available at this stage suggest that there is a big variation in its usage between European economies. Firms in the Nordics and Benelux are generally far more likely to be using AI than those in Southern Europe. If this pattern is sustained, it is likely to further entrench the divide in productivity in Europe over the coming decade or so.
