Election 2019: are social housebuilding plans realistic?

With housebuilders already close to capacity, the sector will struggle to sustain a further surge in output. As a result, if elected, we think Labour would likely to miss their manifesto commitment to build 150,000 council and social homes per year by the end of the next parliament.
