Flight to more affordable South set to continue

Many households have left western metros in favor of those in the South over the past two years. With remote working looking like a permanent fixture of office-based jobs and affordability significantly stretched in the West, we do not expect to see a reversal of migration trends any time soon. This should provide a further boost to apartment and retail markets in the South.
