Nashville, Jacksonville and Austin top for remote workers

Our updated remote worker preference scores again highlight Nashville as the most attractive metro for remote workers, while San Jose is the least attractive. The winners continue to be predominantly in the South, reflecting relatively low living costs and warmer climates. Meanwhile, western metros generally suffered the biggest ranking falls, with Phoenix and Portland dropping by 11 and 12 places respectively since our last update in January 2023, owing mostly to substantial rises in their costs of living.
