The implication of lower equilibrium interest rates

The MPC has estimated that the long-term equilibrium interest rate for the UK economy lies between 2% and 3%. Such estimates are uncertain, but they do tend to reinforce the idea that, barring a significant economic or financial market shock, the commercial property market is more likely to be heading for a soft landing.
