Lessons from the UAE’s vaccine rollout

The UAE has been one of the global leaders in its vaccine rollout thanks to the aggressive procurement of vaccines, numerous vaccination centres and wide eligibility. Containment measures have been kept looser than in the likes of the UK and Israel and new daily cases have fallen more slowly as a result. Restrictions will probably be eased further in the coming months, but there is a risk that curbs on travel to the UAE remain in place, delaying the recovery in key tourism and hospitality sectors.
