Will ECB tightening cause a fresh crisis?

Any policy tightening by the ECB in 2022-23 will probably be too limited to cause major problems in the bond market. But if interest rates rise much further than we anticipate, that could trigger renewed bond market turmoil – which in turn would ultimately force the ECB to step in to contain it.
