Economic weakness to continue into H2

A few places have already published second quarter GDP figures, and the rest of the region will follow over the coming weeks. Although the data are likely to show GDP growth picked up in around half of the region, growth is likely to have been below trend nearly everywhere. We expect this weakness to continue into the second half of the year, as high interest rates and subdued global demand weigh on prospects.
