Drop-In: The Fed, ECB and Bank of England – Latest decisions and policy outlook

Speakers:

Another Fed cut in October looks like a done deal – but then what? Is the ECB still in its “good place” on the sidelines? And how much of a roadblock is high inflation for the Bank of England?

On Thursday, 30th October at 1100 ET/1500 GMT, this 20-minute session will review the latest Fed and ECB decisions and preview the Bank of England’s November meeting. The team will set out our views on inflation, growth and policy across the US, Europe and UK, and take your questions live.

During this session, the team will address key issues, including:

  • Why the strength of the US economy will likely preclude a December rate cut
  • How Europe’s weak growth will push the ECB to cut rates next year
  • Why the Bank of England may cut further than most expect in 2026
