The election and its implications for the economy and markets

The most likely outcome of the elections on November 8th is that Hillary Clinton will be the next President with the Republicans maintaining control of both the House and Senate. But we wouldn’t completely rule out the Democrats gaining control of one or both houses of Congress. Clinton could also lose, particularly if the Republicans elect a viable third candidate at the convention in July.
