Economy has a spring in its step

It remains to be seen if this week’s news on the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine further slows the UK’s vaccination rollout. But as the government says it is still on track to vaccinate all adults by the end of July, we are sticking to our view that the economy will regain its pre-pandemic level early next year. What’s more, there are growing signs that the economy already had a bit of a spring in its step before non-essential retailers, hairdressers and outside eating and drinking venues open on Monday.
