Turkey Consumer Prices (Jan.)

Turkey’s headline inflation rate rose again in January and may edge up a little further in the next few months, but we think that the central bank has probably done enough to convince investors that the shift to orthodoxy is here to stay and so further monetary tightening is unlikely. Equally, though, we expect that interest rates will be left on hold for the rest of this year.
