South Africa Manufacturing PMI (May)

The rebound in South Africa’s manufacturing PMI last month reversed some of its losses in April, but the recovery in the manufacturing sector is on shaky footings given ongoing power cuts. And price pressures don’t seem to be letting up. The central bank is likely to deliver another 50bp interest rate hike at the next meeting before reverting to smaller rate hikes.
