Price pressures continue to ease

The decline in housing market activity slowed in April. That said, the data are some way short of pointing to a meaningful recovery in either house price growth or transactions. On balance, we expect house price inflation to slow a touch more, dropping to 1.5% y/y by the end of 2018. And we think transactions will end the year roughly in line with their present level.
