SNB language tweaks don’t signal policy shift

The Swiss National Bank today acknowledged the depreciation of the franc over recent months but stressed that it was still necessary to keep interest rates at rock-bottom levels and maintain the option of currency intervention to reduce any upward pressure on the franc. But the SNB made clear that its policy stance will remain highly accommodative and we see rates on hold over our forecast horizon.
