A see-saw month for the bond market

Over the past month, there have been significant gyrations in India’s bond market. A drop in yields in the first half of April has been followed by a sharp jump more recently, exacerbated by a hawkish set of RBI policy minutes last week. Looking ahead, we expect yields to rise further over the coming months.
