We are revising our forecast for ECB policy rates (again!) to reflect our reassessment of the outlook for European natural gas prices. In our new baseline scenario for gas prices, euro-zone inflation peaks at around 3% before falling back, core inflation edges up only fractionally, and the ECB leaves its deposit rate unchanged at 2.0%. We also think GDP would continue expanding.
