Polish MPC downplays talk of tightening

The more dovish-than-expected press conference following today’s MPC meeting confirmed that the Polish central bank is placing more weight on concerns about the weak external environment than domestic inflationary pressures. While we think that inflation will remain above target over the next year, today’s meeting supports our view that interest rates will remain on hold until at least the end of 2020.
