Tougher mortgage rules will only make matters worse

Federal banking regulators decision to forge ahead with recent proposals to tighten mortgage rules further will only make matters much worse for the already faltering housing market. Needless to say, this will have a far greater impact on house prices than Bank of Canada interest rate decisions, regardless of whether or not the Bank decides to raise interest rates again this year.
