Bank likely to remain cautious about growth outlook

We expect the Bank of Canada to hold interest rates at 0.50% next week and to remain neutral on the direction of interest rates in the near future. Despite economic slack and muted core inflation, economic growth has continued to surprise on the upside. But until exports and business investment become the key growth drivers, policymakers will continue to question the sustainability of this economic recovery.
