Is the housing market in a new bubble?

Viewed in isolation and given the wider economic recovery, it seems premature to label the housing market upturn as a bubble. Yet, the recovery has come from a point where prices already appeared too high. So, when the support from ultra low interest rates is finally withdrawn, unless we are also seeing rapid growth in rents and earnings, the market may well suffer another setback.
