Consumer Prices (Sep.)

Headline consumer price inflation rose by more than expected in September but there are signs that it may now have peaked. We think it will drop in earnest over the coming months which will open space for the RBI to resume its easing cycle, though that now appears more likely in early 2021 rather than at the end of this year.
