Consumer Prices (Nov.)

Headline consumer prices increased by a robust 0.4% m/m in November, albeit mainly due to a 7.3% m/m surge in gasoline prices, with core consumer prices increasing by a more modest 0.1% m/m. Nevertheless, the latter will not prevent the Fed from hiking interest rates today.
