Christine Lagarde seems to have similar views on monetary policy to Mario Draghi. And she admitted that inflation is likely to remain below target in the medium term, and that the latest TLTRO auction was disappointing. Meanwhile, this week at least brought some good news for the ECB, with the UK election result reducing the downside risk from Brexit and the ZEW survey providing some grounds for cautious optimism about the German economy.
