OPEC Monthly Oil Market Report (Apr.)

As a group, OPEC is more than complying with its production quota, which helps to explain the recent rally in prices. That said, individual country compliance is quite poor with Saudi Arabia shouldering the brunt of the cuts. At the same time, the group revised down again its estimate of demand for OPEC crude, which might make it difficult to argue for an end to quotas at OPEC’s next meeting in June.
