Indonesia: rate cuts unlikely despite dovish shift

Bank Indonesia (BI) left rates unchanged at 6.0% at its meeting today and hinted that it may consider loosening policy over the coming months. However, with the rupiah likely to lose more ground against the US dollar this year, we continue to expect interest rates to be left on hold throughout 2019.
