Export outperformance lifts Asian growth

Asian exports have continued to defy gravity. Despite the biggest slump in the global economy since the Second World War, regional exports are already back to their pre-crisis level. The resilience of exports in much of Asia has helped offset some of the damage to domestic demand caused by the pandemic, with Taiwan, Vietnam and China all set to be among the best performing economies in the world this year.
